I didn't have the full capability to post photos of Mexico City while I was there. So here are a Bunch bunch bunch of pics of the fun times i had. I will just list a little description of each one, rather than leaving a story. so many stories.
1. My old teammate Lis was really excited to find chip and dale's...
2. Tlatlolco, the Plaza of three cultures. This sign says, "August 13, 1521. Heroically defended by Cuauhtemoc. Fell to the power of Hernan Cortes. This was neither victory or defeat; it was he painful birth of the Mestizo race which is the Mexico of today."
3.This church was built in the 1600's by Spaniards using blocks from the Aztec ruins in the foreground. 2 cultures. The 3rd culture is the present. In 1968, an unknown number of Mexican high school and college students were killed or disappeared in a government massacre. The students were fighting for better school conditions, the gov blamed them for trying to disturb the Olympic games.
4. Benjamin, close friend and a year-old believer, with me at a Cruz Azul soccer game.
5. The Estadio Azul (blue stadium) with the Mexico City skyline behind it.
