I shaved the beard and Peace Corps turned 50.
Congratulations, world.
No one was actually present for the beard shaving ceremony, but about
50 volunteers came into the capital to celebrate the 50th anniversary
along with Costa Rica's Peace Corps staff, some non-profit and
government ministry representatives, and a pretty big delegation from
the US embassy, including the embassador herself.
She did not comment on my smooth face.
