Another week of vacation: Priceless
It's looking like swine flu is going to keep schools closed for
another week. The decision will be made tonight or tomorrow. We're on
pins and needles. Friends are making travel plans. Of course, the bad
news is that all this travel allows greater spreading of the disease,
but it's all ok.
My pirate taxi driver friend just complained to me, on a Wednesday
afternoon while watching horror movies at his house, that teachers are
lazy and they don't want to work. What exactly are you doing right
now? I asked him. Not working.
I'm going to Rebecca's house tomorrow, if God wills. She lives in
another colder town far away.
Today a group of gringos came to the elementary school and dropped off
ten boxes of childrens books for the school. They were from a rotary
club in Florida. The group leader was a guy who lives here. He works
with outward bound and volunteers with rotary club. He said he used to
be a PC volunteer in the pacific islands. Small world. He also said
his iPhone works here with the costa rican service, so let's see what
we can do!
Ok! I have a meeting with youth now.
Love you family and friends.
