already im here for one week! it feels like a lifetime already.
i live with a huge family. there are 8 siblings who live with their mom in a big house in a little village. the youngest is a junior in hs and the oldest is a little older than me. also, a 4 yr old granddaughter and a 6 year old grandson live with us. they are all really awesome, and with time (3 nights) the awkwardness is wearing off and we are all starting to get to know each other. Obviously, they all know each other already. You understand. There are a lot of names to keep straight.
costa Rica is pretty awesome. we havent done really anything. these past few days have been all about practicing spanish with a tutor and getting to know our immediate communities. they do a pretty good job of breaking down all these community service strategies into really basic concepts, and introducing the concepts through spanish class, and later re covering them in technical training.
its tiring and slow moving, but we´re having a lot of fun and getting more confortable. i will keep you all posted and hopefully post some fotos this week.
i love you guys. im sorry i cant call people.
